Oh dear, what another disappointing week again… Very few performances could even be classed as “ok”, let alone “amazing” or even “good”! Last week we lost Jonjo and James (when it should have been the annoying and talentless Johnny and Frankie, but of course their popularity was too great to throw them out in the cold), 2 Shoes (thankfully) and poor Amelia (in fairness though, Kelly did have the toughest choice to make, but it should have been Sophie). So the 12 remaining acts were up for public vote this time, meaning again, the most popular (yet probably least talented) ones may be the most likely to leave.

Misha B comes out on top again this week.

This week, it seems Misha B once again came out on top in terms of performance, followed Kitty, while vocally The Risk and Sami were quite good… Unfortunately, once again Frankie and Johnny failed to impress me in the slightest and more wrong song choices for Craig and Marcus did not help these two either. Here’s a run-down of who I thought was good and who just plain sucked! This time though I’ve given them each a mark out of 5 for the voices and their performance itself then an overall score out of 10:

Nu Vibe

Not much improvement from last week and not much different in terms of song choice and the performance… still little and lame dancing and none of the spark they have showed beforehand. They could have been as popular as One Direction, but seems like they aren’t just yet!

Voices: 2/5

Performance: 2/5

Overall: 4/10

Sami

Sami is probably the one vocalist in the competition who could pull off these kind of big songs, but even Whitney Houston‘s “I Will Always Love You” is too big for her… Again, still rather cabaret like last week and not that exciting. Fortunately she didn’t murder this song but she didn’t quite kill it either!

Voice: 3/5

Performance: 2/5

Overall: 5/10

Craig

This guy’s facial expressions still annoy me, especially when he looks into the camera at the end of his performance… You’re not a model, stop trying to pull off those kind of poses! Unfortunately, despite having a nice voice, Craig still seems very much like a boring, one-trick pony. This song was not the best choice for him and this performance was again, not particularly interesting.

Voice: 3/5

Performance: 2/5

Overall: 5/10

Janet

From one one-trick pony to another, Janet bored right through my skull on this song. Seems like a lovely girl and has got a unique voice, but my god, she is dull.

Voice: 2/5

Performance: 1/5

Overall: 3/10

Frankie

"Mr Popular who can't sing": Frankie.

Ugh. Just ugh! Frankie changed his song at the last minute because he was having trouble “remembering the words”. This boy doesn’t need to worry so much about learning the lyrics, but learn the tune of the song and how to actually sing it. Awful vocals and boring performance… Again.

Voice: 0/5

Performance: 1/5

Overall: 1/10

Johnny

The only thing I liked about Johnny‘s performance were his dancers. His voice is thinner, higher and screechier than Kylie‘s and his way of carrying himself across the stage is just embarrassing and cringeworthy… Please, what other top diva songs will he be made ruin in the future? No more hopefully, if he goes!

Voice:  0/5

Performance: 3/5

Overall: 3/10

Marcus

Marcus has a great, solid voice but needs to learn to control it more, especially the volume. He belted out this Rihanna song a bit too much that it seemed shouty in places and while it gave him a chance to do something more serious, there was little emotion when he delivered. Not that he delivered well.

Voice:  3/5

Performance: 2/5

Overall: 5/10

Rhythmix

Bar the hideous outfits they have to wear, Rhythmix are pretty good. They put an interesting twist on this song and didn’t do a bad job of it, depsite it perhaps not being a great song choice for them.

Voices: 3/5

Performance: 3/5

Overall: 6/10

Misha

Misha B seems to be the only contestant who has, since her first audition, kept her performances consistently good. This week she was less jaw-dropping than last week, but still great. Her style choices are always rather bizarre but she definitely channelled the 80’s look well, at least. Would have been nice if she had thrown a few more moves in there and added her own unique twist to the song though.

Voice: 4/5

Performance: 4/5

Overall: 8/10

The Risk

The Risk‘s harmonies definitely put the other groups’ to shame. They seem to have gelled together very well and are undoubtedly a great new boyband. This song however was a little boring and their performance wasn’t that exciting, but vocally they were very good.

Voices: 4/5

Performance: 2/5

Overall: 6/10

Sophie

Sophie got through last week by the skin of her teeth, despite her pitchiness and dullness. This week was just as bad, with shaky vocals all over the place and yawn-inducing performance. She needs to up her game a bit more as I’m sure she could definitely do other, more fun songs to prove her versatility, unlike Janet.

Voice: 2/5

Performance: 1/5

Overall: 3/5

Kitty - love her or hate her, she puts on an interesting show, at least.

Kitty

Saving the most controversial until last, Kitty needed to shut down the show with a good performance after her comparably safe one from last week. And she did. It’s never usually a good idea to sing a Bjork song but she was brave to try and pull it off and dare I say, it wasn’t a bad attempt. Luckily, her “Alice in Wonderland”-inspired theme on stage helped make it all the more interesting, but with her popularity not as high as the rest of the contestants, is still might not have been quite enough to save her.

Voice: 3/5

Performance: 4/5

Overall: 7/10
